Description
This is a very nice example of an original '62 CHARLIE MINGUS lp that he calls the best record he ever made, it is a thick vinyl deep groove 1s/1s U.S. pressing on black Living Stereo RCA VICTOR label #LSP-2533. There are 5 tunes recorded July 18 & August 6, 1957. Rca Victors Studio A NYC a few other players are JIMMY KNEPPER, CURTIS PORTER, FRANKIE DUNLOP, LONNIE ELDER, etc. Cover is made of thick cardboard with nice photo and graphics on front with extensive liner notes on back. There are no seam or spine splits, bent or pushed in corners, punch holes, cut corners, ring wear, stains, stickers, writing, fading, etc, just has a hind of browning and wear, front has tiny store sticker. lp comes in its original Rca sleeve with No splits. Lp is near pristine and hardly played, labels are very clean, both have no problems, playing surfaces have a deep gloss shine, No groove wear, scratches, defects, warps, or sleeve stains, I only noticed under close inspection just a few very light surface scuffs that do not affect play. CONDITION: Cover VG + + / Lp NM. I've spent years searching for the best original records and it is very hard lately to unearth these wonderful gems in such nice condition as this one. I played an excerpt from each track they sounded clean and clear with no distortion skips or annoying background noise.
