It gives me pleasure to make available to Apple label, Psych, etc collectors this rarity. It is an original rigid vinyl '72 U.S. Lp on the sliced and unsliced APPLE label #SW-3391. Called: THE POPE SMOKES DOPE. by DAVID PEEL & THE LOWER EAST SIDE. There are 12 cuts: I'M A RUNAWAY/ EVERYBODY'S SMOKING MARIJUANA/ F IS NOT A DIRTY WORD/ THE HIPPIE FROM NEW YORK CITY/ MCDONALDS FARM/ THE BALLAD OF NEW YORK CITY/ JOHN LENNON-YOKO ONO/ THE BALLAD OF BOB DYLAN/ THE CHICAGO CONSPIRACY/ THE HIP GENERATION/ I'M GONNA START ANOTHER RIOT/ THE BIRTH CONTROL BLUES/ THE POPE SMOKES DOPE. In the trail off of the lp and on both sides the word STERLING is stamped. Also comes with an inner sleeve with photo, and print on one side, and the lyrics to the tunes on the other side. There are NO seam splits, tears, stains,ring wear, etc. On the lyric side the previous owner circled the lyrics to one of the songs in pen. And there are only a few mild wrinkles and a light browning around the edges of one side. Everything else perfect. The cover has only a slight hint of wear, NO seam or spine splits, bent or pushed in corners, ring wear. cut outs, stains, stickers, writing, etc. Spine print is near perfect. The lp has perfect labels with NO spindle marks, wear, stickers, writing, stains,etc. Playing surfaces have a deep gloss shine with NO defects,groove wear, warps, scratches, etc. There are only a very few,light, surface scuffs on each side. I played an excerpt from every tune, they played beautifully with NO problems. A tough lp to find in any CONDITION: COVER NM--/LP NM--/SLEEVE NM--.
