Record Visual Quality: VG+ to EXCELLENT.
Record Audio Quality: EXCELLENT sound: No clicks, no jumps and only minimal crackle in the quieter passages. All my records are machine cleaned and fully played/checked to ensure the quality declared.
Sleeve Quality: EXCELLENT Gatefold with fine artwork: Outer cover a reproduction of Hogarth's Tavern Scene from The Rakes Progress. Inner cover is an original by David Anstey.
COMMENTS
This is an excellent, original copy of this renowned Caravan album of Canterbury progressive rock from 1972 with its lovely gatefold sleeve artwork. This is a rare LP that is quoted in Record Collector.
This critically rated LP features all band self written tracks. My choice of the best tracks is more oriented to the purer progressive rock items and they include SONGS & SIGNS which boasts a great melody with a fine Pye Hastings high pitched vocal that is really memorable and then Richard Sinclair adds vocal interplay with Pye, with his deeper tones. It is very clever and really quite classy. I also loved THE WORLD IS YOURS , which commences accoustically and both vocalists deliver simple verse and chorus arrangements that are nevertheless very effective for what is a very fine love song.
