Back with a batch of vintage Jazz vinyl. All records are true vintage pressings, no present-day reissues.
- John Coltrane - Blue Train
- Original Blue Note mono BLP 1577; 47 W 63rd NYC; no ® mark; RVG stamp; Ear/P
- Side A is VG with a lightly feelable line that runs across the entire side. This is heavy duty Blue note vinyl, however, and there is no skip! It plays with a light tic that is occasionally silent and then pics up into some louder tics toward the end of "Moment’s Notice." Not to undersell its presence, but it’s not nearly as troubling as it could have been. There’s also a needle drop (no skip) mark and a few non-feelable short lines. Side B is cleaner, solid VG approaching VG+ with just some scattered non-feelable surface lines
- Laminated sleeve VG. Seams were taped at one time but it has been removed. There’s a 3" bottom center split. Spine is tight. Top and bottom seams have some rubbing, and all seams look to have been run over with a black marker. Surfaces present very well. Some tape residue primarily on bottom left corner.
