Description

About this Record.  Capitol T-970.  This is an original US copy of Gene Vincent's  'Gene Vincent Rocks! and the Blue Caps Roll LP from 1956 or so on the original Turquoise label with silver print. PLUS a bonus Gene Vincent LP T-811 Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps.  Gene's Capitol T-811 LP is in about the same condition as T-970 BUT it has a hairline crack in the vinyl through the first song.  I played the LP tonight (not knowing this, and it played through fine on both sides, and my expensive stylus seems undamaged.  But this is included for free to the highest bidder for Capitol T-970.

The Cover.  EX-.  No writing or price sticker damage, but there is tape on top right seam (1/3), which covers back seam area  on top left as well. Spine is split 1 1/2 inches near middle; All lettering on Spine is visible and clearly readable except the T-970 which is visible but weak.  Light corner damage, and age marks along opening where LP goes in.  Wording appears both on top seam and spine; Top seam wording is in perfect shape, you can see it top left cover. [cover of the free T-811 LP has tape and split seams, but no writing on front or back except for a VERY faint pencil impression that says $35.00 (what I paid for it).

The Vinyl.  The vinyl looks strong VG+ with a few stylus marks, plays EX- to EX.  Killer LP.  Lots of screams and other pre-punk stuff [free Gene Vincent LP vinyl is cracked, but otherwise from the clicks on the first song on each side, plays EX, just as good if not better than the other LP, but free one has hairline crack].

The Inner Sleeve.  Comes in Rice paper sleeve, but includes original round plastic sleeve!

The Labels.  EX.  The Label is EX+ on Side 2 (would be M- but very very slight white mark near spindle hole from some kind of tear in the label);  no writing, slight label damage, etc.  Other side has about two same marks, from some kind of gouge that you can feel in the label, so EX- on Side 2.  So EX

About Me.  LOOK at my feedback as a Seller!  My only negative feedback was from an unscrupulous seller I purchased a record from.  I am a record collector, not a dealer, and take this Personally and Seriously (see my feedback!).  I sell/trade vinyl to focus my collection, including many $500 and up LPs (not worth my time or your time selling common stuff, of course).  Coincidentally, I have two kids in college and sometimes consider selling stuff like this so I can buy more cool stuff.  I have been collecting vinyl Seriously for 35 years (psych, garage, hard rock/punk, non-top 40/non-pop).  I offer a full refund if you are not satisfied, and refund any excess postage (look at your package and contact me if it indicates you paid more than it says and I will refund you!).  Of the several hundred records I have sold for college funds two people wanted a refund; one person because he didn't realize the PS I sold him came without the 45rpm vinyl which was clearly advertised, and one person because the record was a reissue (I was not sure, and included a picture that I thought would have made this clear).

Shipping Charge:  Contact Me; I don't charge more for shipping.  And I refund any excess shipping.
