Description
Description: This is an original case for an Edison Diamond Disc Record #80052 which had 'Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna - Overture' on one side and 'Carmen Selections' on the other. This is for the case only - no record is included. The copyright on the front lable is from 1912 and the original price was $1.50. The illustration on the front of the case is coverful and very lovely with dancing Greecian-style ladies and children with musical instruments following the lead of two men with flutes/pipes. The inside is lined with a cloth to protect the record which would be inside. There is damage to this case - it appears that something heavy was put on top of this case as the lower and right edges are flattened, there is foxing on the cloth lining and there is edge/corner wear. Although there is damage, these covers are very hard to find and this one could still house a record.
