PAYPAL ONLY. Up for auction is an original 1956 pressing of Starday #240 45 of Thumper Jones doing Rock It b/w How Come It. As you know, this is George Jones recording as Thumper Jones to cash in on the Rock'N'Roll thing and not scare away his country fans. One of my favorite 45's of all time. Both sides are great rockabilly with a mean attitude and the wildest outta tune guitar breaks, screams, shouts, and both are uptempo. Anyway, if you are looking here, you know what it is. Original versions of this 45 that say Thumper Jones on the label don't show up very often. About one a year on eBay. Not the best condition, but I felt someone would love to have it anyway for their collection, being an original from 1956. I took many unflattering pics, so you can see the true condition. Labels show ring wear, stains and heavy soil. Record is very worn, but both sides play through without skipping. There is some sheen, but not much. I would say F- condition, which of course is only better than no record at all. Fidelity is actually OK, but has hiss. Slight storage warp that does not affect play. (actually ALL old records have this) I don't list records in this condition unless they are rare. Shipping is $4.00 domestic, and $12.50 International locations. Payment is by Paypal only, please.
