This poster was never hung so has just minimal storage and handling wear. There is a small repaired tear which hardly notices and can be seen in the last photo. It was folded three times to be posted back in 1958. The colours remain vibrant on this truly unique item. The reverse is blank.

Record Shop Posters like this one were sent by the publicity department at EMI Records to record shops throughout the UK in the hope of creating record orders.
The reality is that most store managers regarded the constant flow of publicity from the various record companies as junk mail and would simply throw most of it away.
Posters that were actually displayed in the listening booths or on record shop walls were disposed of when finished with or perhaps occasionally given to fans who requested them.
These would have sellotape attached or drawing pin holes and it's unlikely many would survive today.
Many years ago we had the opportunity to purchase a quantity of record shop publicity that had never been removed from their original envelopes and this poster is part of that collection.
These items were posted out via Royal Mail and were folded to fit in the envelopes and its along the same folds that they will be posted out to winning bidder
This Poster would look great framed and when framed any folds will hardly notice if at all.
If preferred it may be collected in person from our shop in South Ealing, West London..
