Here is a RARE vintage album from my collection offered up for sale: This is an AUTHENTIC original 1962 USA pressing of Dave Van Ronk's fourth album "Folksinger", released in 1962 by Prestige Records 14012 (mono), this is the original pressing with the heavy vinyl and bright green labels. This album is from an artist that was influential to Bob Dylan who recorded Van Ronk's arrangement of the traditional song "House of the rising Sun" on his first album. Hard to find original pressing collectable!
The heavy vinyl record rates VG/VG+, is glossy and clean, has some faint sleeve wear, some light marks, one 1/4" long more moderate mark, has been PLAY TESTED. Plays from start to finish with very good sound quality, some light pops, some light surface noise heard on some tracks (unobtrusive), clear sound, no skips, no jumps, a VERY enjoyable listen! The vintage cover rates Very Good (VG), great photo of Dave with no ring wear, seams neatly repaired with clear tape, back has torn slick at edges and some light stains, no signatures or writing. The labels have some light spots to color. (see all photos)
