Description

1982 First Pressing KISS Creatures Of The Night

You are bidding on an original 1st pressing NPLP 7270 KISS Creatures of the Night vinyl LP with 501 on the back cover and Creatures record label.
I am the original owner of this record from the early 80’s.. The record itself is near mint, with very minor surface wear if any, plays fine. The cover shows slights signs of edge wear but is in very good+ condition. Also included is the original lyrics sleeve which does have split edges. I will include a Mylar sleeve that the album has always been kept in.
As most of you KISS fans know, Creatures of the Night is the tenth studio album by Kiss. It is the band's last for Casablanca Records, the only label for which Kiss had recorded up to this point. The album was dedicated to the memory of Casablanca founder and early Kiss supporter Neil Bogart, who had died of cancer during the recording sessions. It is also the band's last album recorded with Ace Frehley credited as an official member, and its first album with Vinnie Vincent as the initially uncredited lead guitarist (Vincent would later be credited, but not featured on the cover. Frehley did not play at all on Creatures of the Night even though his face (for contractual and commercial reasons) was still featured on the original album cover.(which this is) On the tour, Vincent was introduced with his Egyptian Ankh makeup, designed in a hurry by Paul Stanley. In 1985, Kiss re-released this album cover in their non-makeup state with a cover featuring Gene Simmons, Stanley, Eric Carr and then-current guitarist Bruce Kulick even though Kulick did not play on the album and Vinnie Vincent had long since departed the band by 1985.
Side 1: Creatures Of The Night, Saint And Sinner, Keep Me Comin, Rock And Roll Hell, Danger.
Side 2: I Love It Loud, I Still Love You, Killer, War Machine.
Pictures are of actual item for sale.
