Description

Here's an original 8" x 10" publicity photo of the Scranton Sirens from the 1923-24 period.  They are posed -- for some reason -- with only stringed instruments.  In the back row, left to right are Russ Morgan, Ted Noyes, Mike Trafficante, Billy Lustig, and Itzy Riskin.  Middle row, left to right:  Alfred Evans, Eddie Lang, Sid Tucker.  Front row: Vic D' Ippolito.
Morgan has inscribed the photo in fountain pen to a fellow performer as follows:  "May I never forget the Girl who made me play for a show.  Russ Morgan."
This sepia-toned photo has slight, uniform age toning, but is in excellent condition overall.  The contrast is is good.  The autograph is clear.  There are four tiny creases (anout 1/2" each) in the extreme lower-left-hand corner that do not detract.  The back is clean.  The photo has been well cared for, for about 95 years.
For more information about Eddie Lang's work with the Sirens, see https://www.vjm.biz/167-eddie-lang-web-layout-1.pdf.
