Description
I am not a collector but have owned this album since 1966. Got it from the Columbia Record Club - 15 records for 1 cent! When it arrived I noticed the picture underneath, peeled it a few months later. A job well done for a 15 year old's first effort at something like that! High Fidelity, it is not stereo. T2553. Back and front are separated. It has the original inner sleeve -- CAPITOL '66; SOUNDS GREAT! The record which is original and High Fidelity which means mono plays pretty well, there is surface noise but not overwhelming at all.
The butcher cover is rubbed of in the upper left hand corner, a rough triangle about 5/8" by 3/4", taking some of the Capitol Records logo ellipse with it. There are also some other spots where the cover came off during the peel job, small and not really affecting the overall look. All blemishes can be seen in the pictures. Although the back and front are separated they are not in too bad shape... mostly just a little aging and dirt. There are some small 'folds' appearing in the top layer near the left hand side. The corners are not razor sharp but are rounded slightly. There is a small 3 to the left of the RIAA logo. To the left of the upper right hand corner it says File Under: The Beatles and in the upper right hand corner is T 2553.
I will answer any questions I can and if necessary try to get some new pictures up or send to bidders. You will notice I have little feedback. I am not a professional seller on Ebay, just raising some money by selling some things I have acquired over the years. I have a hard time letting go of anything which is why I still have this, but it's time for someone else to enjoy. Happy bidding!
