Here for sale is a fantastic ELP album from 1972 Trilogy. It is a first pressing.
The vinyl and album cover are in excellent if not near mint condition, particularly the gatefold cover which looks and feels like it’s just come out of the record shop! The pale blue Island original inner sleeve is in good condition with its original polyliner but is very creased.
This Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s Trilogy album (released on Island Records with catalog number ILPS 9186), has the 1st pressing dead wax runout groove matrix numbers:
Side A Runout: ILPS 9186 A - 2U
Side B Runout: ILPS 9186 B - 2U
Alongside the matrix numbers, the letters LD and 1 D are the stampers and lacquer cutters used at the pressing plant.
Why buy an expensive modern reproduction when you can have a genuine 1970s original vinyl, worth far more in the future, for a lot less. Also the originals generally have better sound quality.
