Original Judee Sill - Heart Food LP from 1973. British release.
If you don't know her, Judee Sill was a singer/songwriter. She played guitar, piano and sang and wrote complex, oblique, haunted-but-beautiful music. She was part of the Laurel Canyon music scene in the '60s that included Joni Mitchell, so her songs have the same folky-confessional vibe. This is her second and last LP, more complex and orchestrated than her first, but just as beautiful.
Heart Food is the rarest of her releases. She was on tour in the UK and outed David Geffen (Owner of Asylum Records) during an interview. Geffen was still in the closet at the time and angrily stopped all promotions for her record, stopped shipping her records and cancelled her gigs. She never formally recorded again and, sadly, died of a drug overdose in obscurity several years later. Very tragic.

* Most records have production marks where someone touched or moved the vinyl while it was still semi-soft. These marks look like smudges, but are not scratches or "paper scuffs" and do not sound. Untouched vinyl from newly-opened records have these marks. I only downgrade if the marks are excessive and/or unsightly or if they are audible in any way.
** I sound-sample both sides of every LP. I don't play the entire record, but sample at least three places each side, checking intros, quiet spots and a few divisions between tracks.
