Description
I purchased this at an estate sale along with about 65 other titles. Most of the records where clustered right around the early-mid 1970's so my guess is I'm the second owner. I'm basing my "excellent" grading on my audition of the record. It plays beautifully all the way through on both sides and is a stunning piece of work. Nick's back story is tragic making this all the more meaningful and collectible. Rolling Stone lists "Pink Moon" as #321 on their "Greatest Albums of All Time" list. After listening to it I agree and if it doesn't hit opening bid I'm KEEPING it! Visually there is some light surface scuffing that does not effect play and two fairly visible scuffs on side one that once again do not produce any unwanted ticks or pops. The vinyl is shiny and reflective and evident of very few life-time plays. It could have been handled a little better when it was played would be my main criticism. The gatefold cover is missing the original shrink wrap but other than some slight corner rashing is in excellent condition as well. The colors are bright and there are no splits or ring wear. The original plain inner sleeve has the original corner crease from packing but is not split, torn or faded. All in all a very nice, hard to find record. It will be carefully packed and shipped.
