Up for bid is an original 1991 first press, Columbia House Record club (CRC) pressing of Nirvana Nevermind, which was also originally released in 1991.

The Columbia club (CRC) press is thought to be more scarce than the original retail press with estimates on total pressings somewhere around 3000. Note the “CRC” printed above the back barcode as well as a recycle sign to the right of it, which denotes the record club pressing, in addition to “CRC” prefix to the catalogue number on the labels.

Playback of the vinyl is conservatively graded at VG to VG+ due to some surface noise most notably present during the breaks between songs and in quieter passages .This kind of noise is not uncommon for original 90s presses, as most major labels were putting very little effort into vinyl at the time. As CDs were taking over, the quality of vinyl suffered, so even records that visually look great might be on the noisier side.

Visually the vinyl grades more at EX with only light signs of wear or superficial blemishes present. The inner sleeve is a plain paper sleeve which is correct for this Club pressing as opposed to the standard sleeve for the retail press. The cover grades at a strong VG+ to EX, light general wear and minor top seam wear present but nothing that takes away from the overall appeal of the sleeve.
