For the collector of music memorabilia we have for a no reserve auction, a vintage seventies, RSO Entertainment baseball style jacket. This is the type of item many companies used to promote their product with radio and retailers, but because of the expense was done on a small selective scale. RSO records was the brainchild of musical theater impresario Robert Stigwood who managed the careers of several superstars: Bee Gees, Yvonne Elliman, Eric Clapton, Andy Gibb and, as a record label, released the soundtracks to Fame, Sparkle, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars Episode VI, Return Of The jedi, Times Square, Grease and Saturday Night Fever. The release of the latter two albums made RSO one of the most financially successful labels of the 1970's. Now there are a couple ways of looking at this item. First: If your name is Norman; it’s a no brainer because it is already embroidered with your name. Second: If you are a fan of baseball and your teams color’s are, or ever were, red and white, you have a great piece of vintage clothing to be seen in at the park. Third: It you look at it as a tribute to what was once a music industry legend, as for the ten years (1973 - 1983) when RSO records was a shooting star that blazed a path in pop music, it is a true "Staying Alive" survivor of what that time The jacket, considering its age, is in wonderful condition as you cab see in the pictures. It has a light cotton fleece lining and could serve well as a windbreaker. The manufacture is “Athletic Sportswear” with a size of XL and based on the logo I would think made in Canada. Jacket has slash pockets and a zipper front. There is a tag in the left pocket with a label “Dry Clean Only”, this pocket also seem to have some fine Oregano dust that I was able to easily remove.
