Description

Hello. Up for sale is the STEREO LP …presenting the fabulous RONETTES featuring Veronica. I found this record at a local thrift store today. Here’s what I can tell you about it. The cover still has its original plastic wrap, but it also has been saw-cut in the lower right-hand corner (see photo). There also is a bit of discoloration (slight browning) on one side of the album. The same sort of browning can be seen on the reverse side. This discoloration goes in about 2” from the opening in the cover. Other than that, the cover is in excellent condition. There is no splitting to the cover. Both sides of the disc playing surface are Near Mint. On the inside of the disc is an imprinted symbol (a star) along with the following: SLP 4006A (flipside reads SLP 4006B). On the LP label it reads: ST-4006. On the front of the cover where it is saw-cut it reads: PHLP-4006. On the spine of the cover it reads: SLP-4006.

I’m not sure why the different catalog numbers, but for my money, this appears to be an original Phil Spector Phillies Record. I’ll let the experts decide for themselves.

The winning USA bidder to pay $5 for Priority Shipping with Delivery Confirmation. Canada and Overseas to pay $20 for International Priority shipping. Thanks and good luck!

Hello again. As I stated, both sides of this disc are in Near Mint condition, and this morning I decided to (very carefully) play the first few seconds of each side just to test out the sound. In a word: Phenomenal. Hardly any surface noise whatsoever. And a GREAT stereo production.  I used to collect records many years ago and would always clean them myself. With this disc, I'll let the winning bidder decide if or how to clean it. I've heard Be My Baby many times on the car radio, but it's quite a different experience altogether to hear it played on a good stereo system. Wow. I've also heard from a number of folks telling me this is, in fact, an original Stereo release.

I was asked if there were any spindle marks near the center hole. When looking at the label straight on, you can't see any. However, when the LP is turned sideways and reflected toward a light source, you can see a couple of very, very faint spindle marks. I would call the label on this record a NM++.
