For sale is a beautiful stereo copy of the Beatles debut release on Capitol Records: ‘Meet The Beatles’ ST-2047. This is still in the original shrink wrap! It’s an early version w/‘Beatles’ in tan letters and no Geo. Martin credit on back. Other than a tear on the back of shrink wrap that was taped at top to prevent further tearing, all is intact. The record is very nice and would be flawless except for 1 scratch that goes thru 2 songs on side 1. There are 3-4 clicks at start of This Boy but plays thru w/no skip or hang-up. [see pic #5] The old Capitol vinyl was very forgiving of scuffs & marks unlike today’s records. Full gloss and superb labels as well. Comes with original blue Capitol inner slv. A beautiful example of this release and hard to believe it came out over 60 yrs ago.

All items are properly packed with records removed from the sleeve or jacket to prevent seam splits or ringwear.

This is a consignment auction and there are no returns so please ask any questions prior to bidding. We don’t end auctions early. Currently accepting music-related consignment items - especially Beatles and their solo items.
As always, the pictures that you see are of the item that you will win. Selling quality music collectibles since 1986. Superior packing - Read Our Feedback. Online sales by Walrus9 since 1998 so bid with confidence!
Please see our otherBeatles and music related auctions. If you’ve any questions please ask before bidding. Will gladly combine items and reduce shipping costs to multiple bid winners. All items are from a smoke-free environment.
