This is a nice find

Harry Gibson termed the term “Hipster”
This is for the case only - no records..

This album was his 4th Album and it was produced in 1947 by  Diamond Records.
It contained – 3 singles (6 sides) with the following songs
The Wolf Song
That’s The Stuff You Gotta Watch
Beer Party Saturday Night
Bop Bop
It Ain’t Hep
Leave Me! I Hate To Be Alone

The album cover has beautiful graphics.
Old style bindings and course cardboard inserts
One just doesn’t see anything this pretty anymore..
Especially from the original “Hipster”..

His music was way ahead of his time..
Right out old world New York City.
He was discovered by Fats Waller in 1939 and made the trip from Harlem to Manhattan.
Between 1939 and 1945 he played Jazz clubs all over Manhattan and 52 t (Swing Street). Including the Three Deuces and Leon and Eddies..  

When I got the Album it had some 33rpm ink spots records in it..
The album is Its in Great shape for being 56+ years old.
I don’t see any major issues with it,

If I kept it I would have it framed in a 1” deep glassed in shadow box frame and hang it on the wall.

A very piece of early jazz – hipster stuff.

Condition – Excellent – There are no major issues.
It’s solid.
Its cover colors are bright and vivid – its not had much exposed to sunlight.. The lettering and graphs is crisp and clear.
It has a few worn places along its edge and corners – but that’s to be expected.

The three paper/cardboard inserts are nice their taped seams still tight. They’re a bit browned and if one sniffs them – there is a light scent from being in existence for 50+ years. But from a foot away there is no scent at all.
The right and bottom edge of the three inserts show a separation “a cut” from having the records slid in and out.

The black edge binding is tight and in great shape.
Its gold color letter is excellent..

The Back of the album is solid and its red color is bright and vivid but it shows wear on the high spots of its textured surface.

Over all the Album is Beautiful.

The days are Thursday through Saturday at noon.

Payments made between Wednesday evening through Friday evening insures that that item(s) will be shipped within 24 hours..

Payments made outside of the shipping days (between Saturday and Wednesday) will normally be shipped from the Post Office on the following Thursday. There are exceptions and I will do my best to accommodate any reasonable request that you may have…
