Description
Vintage poster with publicity for the album “Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!” by Devo, dated 1978. Virgin Records V2106. Album released 25 August 1978.
Devo : New-wave group popular throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s, formed by a group of art students at Kent State University, principally Mark Mothersbaugh and Jerry Casale. Their name comes from the central concept of "de-evolution" - the idea that mankind is devolving instead of evolving, as evidenced by the encroaching gullibility and herd mentality of the American people.
