Ornette Coleman The Shape Of Jazz To Come 1960 Mono Repress Atlantic 1317 VG/VG+.

For auction is a very good listeners copy of The Shape Of Jazz To Come by American jazz saxophonist, trumpeter, violinist and composer, Ornette Coleman. His third album and his first for Atlantic Records released in November 1959. Coleman is considered one of the founders of the sub genre, “free jazz”, which was heavily based on improvisation. The Shape of Jazz is considered one if the most influential and important albums in music history. It was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2015, and in 2020 it was ranked # 417 on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. This copy is a 1960 mono repress with Atlantic red/purple labels.

Vinyl is play graded VG. Slight storage warp that does not affect playback. Many light visible surface marks but nothing deep that can be felt. Still very shiny! Plays with mild background noise at times that is never overwhelming. No skips or jumps. Please see pics.

Cover is in VG+ condition. Glossy finish. Slight warp. Minor shelf wear on corners and seams but no splits. Title is perfectly legible. Some staining on edges. Looks great! Please see pics.

Good luck bidding and thank you for looking!!
