Description

Orthacoustic Instantaneous 12" Record Circa 1956 NBC Radio Recordings
1. Frank Sinatra "How Little We Know" 2. Lena Horne "Running Running Running" 3. Vic Damone "Street Where You Live" 4. The Four Aces "Love IS A Many Splendored Thing"
I have come across various transcription radio discs before of the 16" and 12" variety. These were usually given to radio stations for promotional purposes. This one is a bit perplexing with tracks 1 through 3 being Capitol Records artists and track 4 is a Decca artist. All sound like the original studio versions. The record is very scuffed up and appears poor but plays through with normal clicks, etc. All of these songs were released between 1955 and 1956. The second side is blank. Not a lot of info out there on Orthacoustic but it appears to have been responsible for pressing quite a few of these in the 1940s & 50s. NBC and Radio City are credited on label. Original came in a paper brown sleeve that was trashed with no writing on it.
