Os Novos Baianos Grandes Sucessos Psychedelic Brazil pressing MPB *** RARE 70´s.
Record Side A is VG+ with very light surface scratches. Side B is VG++ without marks.
The cover in very good condition, but with a discreet tape on the opening.
This is a rare brazilian edition released in 1973
Originally released by RGE in 1970 with the name 'É Ferro Na Boneca!', this is the debut album of Novos Baianos. Due to the controversy surrounding the name of original press, this first reissue came out as "Grandes Sucessos".
This record shows the roots of the group, moving through psychedelics, edgey pop, rock and Tropicália. After writing 'É Ferro Na Boneca!' their music began to move towards MPB due to the influence of João Gilberto, who began working with the group.
In 1972 they released their incredible 'Acabou Chorare' LP, which came top of Rolling Stone Magazine's list of 100 Greatest Brazilian Records (published in 2007).
