Oscar Peterson - Plays Porgy And Bess, 1961 US Stereo reissue on Verve catno V6-8340

Another record from the family collection, acquired by my grandfather who would go tripping to New York to visit jazz clubs of the time and return with a few US release records.  This has remained stored and unseen since at least 1983!

Vinyl - in excellent condition with a few minor hairlines to both sides, with very clean labels and looking better than some of the new records one gets unlucky with nowadays!

Jacket - original thick full lightly textured card type, quite like the US riverside types.  Very tough, no seem or spine damage to speak of.  One very light crease to rear of zero concern purely superficial.  Also like the riverside releases this just had a lowly poly liner with no proper poly lined inner sleeve so being as it was a pita to remove ive upgraded to a mofi sleeve which is far better and fits perfick!

A very rare record, a great set by Oscar and with provenance and condition hard to match!  Buy with confidence.
