Rare 1980 dbx Disc test pressing SET of Oscar Peterson Trio – “Action” (DBX PR 7059), pressed by Award Record Mfg., Inc. in Inglewood, CA.

The generic Award “TEST PRESSING” sleeve is hand‑annotated:

• “DBX PR 7059” and date 9‑11‑80

• “OSCAR PETERSON TRIO ‘ACTION’”

This is a dbx‑encoded audiophile pressing intended for playback with a dbx decoder. When decoded correctly, these discs are known for extremely low noise and wide dynamic range. Without a decoder, it will sound compressed/odd, as with all dbx discs.
