Description
This is an unusual item from Iran on Monogram 4645. The A-side is Otis Redding, and the songs are his hit versions. The flipside is shown as Patrick Samson, and the "I Believe" cut is a ballad that shows up on his discography. However, the last cut, "Tell Mama" does not sound like Samson (though I'm not much familiar with him). Rather, the "Tell Mama" is a really great hard-driving funky soul version of the same song Etta James was famous for. This version is even funkier than hers, and if it's not Sampson, then I'm not sure who the artist is...but it sounds reminiscent of hard funk singers like James Brown or Joe Tex. Guaranteed to please if you like funk! Cover is VG with some wrinkling and a little tear. Record is VG+++ and plays great. Grading is as follows: Near Mint=Like New or Very Close; VG++=Very Minimal Handling or Wear/Close to Near Mint; VG+=Mild Wear/Nothing Serious; VG=Noticeable Wear but Still Very Playable.
