Description

The Late, Great Otis Redding reissued from the original Atco tapes by 4 Men With Beards pressed on 180-gram vinyl resulting in a much more spacious and detailed recording than the original release.  Even in mono, the sound is full and focused and the original production was optimized for mono before the stereo after-thought.  I have auditioned the entire recording after professionally cleaning using a VPI 16.5 record cleaning machine with a dedicated wash/fluid and vacuumed dry/cleaned and de-static'd.  From my private collection.  The supporting Stax house musicians are the stellar Wayne Jackson, Charles Axton, Floyd Newman, Steve Cropper, Booker T. Jones, Al Jackson, Jr and finally Donald "Duck" Dunn.  Beautiful music and sound.
