Description
Otis Rush 45 titled "I Can't Quit you Baby/Sit Down Baby"; Cobra 5000, 1956. Both sides sound in VG condition (I test-played them entirely). The R&B side, "Sit Down Baby," has horns that wail like a passing train.
For winners of more than one auction, I combine records into one box to save on the mailing cost. To U.S. locations, I mail by first-class for up to three 45s. For 2-3 discs, your charge is $5; for 4-9 discs the charge is $6; and for 10 or more, $7 priority mail. Free mailing to U.S. locations for any winner whose single bid or combined bids exceeds $75. I typically mail within 24 hours.
International bidders: I try to combine records to save on the mailing cost. Please note that the mailing cost to international bidders goes up at 2 records, but stays the same up until 9 records. For example, one record mailed to a European address is $15. Two records is $24.50, and three to nine records also is $24.50.
Play-grade definitions: NM (near mint) -- little for no surface noise. VG+ (very good plus) -- surface noise but does not interfere with the enjoyment of the record. VG (very good) -- surface noise that is noticeable. Whether or not it interferes with the enjoyment of the music depends on your level of tolerance. G (good) -- noticeable surface noise, at least some of which likely will detract from your enjoyment of the song. I seldom list records that skip or catch and would never do so without noting such a major flaw in the description.
All my records are test-played in their entirety, unless noted. Please note that I seldom grade a record's playing surface visually because of the subjective nature of the judgment -- the tendency for vinyl to sound much better, or worse, than it looks. I assume a buyer is more interested in the sound than its look. If you want a visual grade, please e-mail me and I will provide it. I have been buying and selling records for 40 years.
