What I’m selling:

Please note, this item was unfortunately damaged during shipping.  While it remains perfectly sealed, so the vinyl is MINT, the jacket has a corner crease that runs roughly 3" on the front cover and nearly 5" on the back cover.  

I took a lot of time putting this listing together.  Please read it in full before "purchasing now" on this unique product.  Failure to do so subjects you to fault, not me.  If you have any questions, I suggest you contact me first before buying this item.  Same with shipping, since you will be given options, but as you well know, we need to put "canned" eBay shipping info on all items.  So what's posted is not correct, but the body of this summary clearly spells out purchasing terms.  I also do not ship until your payment has cleared for three business days.  I take very careful care in packaging all of my shipments and have a perfect 100% score on selling as well as buying through this site.

Ask yourself, how many times does Jeff Lynne and Electric Light Orchestra either re-released, re-master or just put out some cool collectibles for their fans?  Well this production run, on beautiful translucent clear DOUBLE vinyl is so good, the photos in this listing are of my copy.  Others I have available are factory sealed and part of this eBay listing. 

The reason I don’t like stock photos is because it doesn’t show you exactly what you will be receiving.  And what you will be receiving is a double vinyl LP of all of the record’s original songs (recorded in 1977), on translucent (clear) vinyl in MINT/MINT condition and numbered sequentially on the back from 1 to 5,000. 

You get a MINT sealed copy from me, on white vinyl and packaged any number of ways depending on how much risk you want to take with the record when it is shipped to you.  I based my shipping by going to the post office and having the records and my shipping materials weighed out for the US, Canada and elsewhere worldwide.  I will not be profiting from my shipping expenses in the least, and depending on where you live, I'll probably pay additionally for my items to get to you.  Remember as well, that I, too, paid exorbitant prices for my copies to be shipped to me.  I will not accept any returns, opened or not, you will be paying for insurance and carry all liability if you choose not to insure this product and it “disappears”.  It will be shipped, with or without insurance, very carefully with a USPS tracking number for the US, Canada and most major countries.  Again, without you paying for insurance, if the record never arrives, it will not be because of me, my responsible stops the moment a tracking sticker has been affixed to my package and I hand it to a USPS employee.  You will receive an update on the tracking number as soon as I ship this.  

A bit about Electric Light Orchestra’s “Out of the Blue” release:

The last ELO album to make a major impact on popular music, Out of the Blue was of a piece with its lavishly produced predecessor, A New World Record, but it's a much more mixed bag as an album. For starters, it was a double LP, a format that has proved daunting to all but a handful of rock artists, and was no less so here. The songs were flowing fast and freely from Jeff Lynne at the time, however, and well more than half of what is here is very solid, at least as songs if not necessarily as recordings. "Sweet Talkin' Woman" and "Turn to Stone" are among the best songs in the group's output, and much of the rest is very entertaining. The heavy sound of the orchestra, however, as well as the layer upon layer of vocal overdubs, often seem out of place. All in all, the group was trying too hard to generate a substantial-sounding double LP, complete with a suite, "Concerto for a Rainy Day." The latter is the nadir of the album, an effort at conceptual rock that seemed archaic even in 1977. Another chunk is filled up with what might best be called art rock mood music ("The Whale"), before you finally get to the relief of a basic rocker like "Birmingham Blues." Even here, the group couldn't leave well enough alone -- rather than ending it on that note, they had to finish the album with "Wild West Hero," a piece of ersatz movie music that adds nothing to what you've heard over the previous 65 minutes. In its defense, Out of the Blue was massively popular and did become the centerpiece of a huge worldwide tour that earned the group status as a major live attraction for a time. This version was released in 2015, on clear, double vinyl with lyrics and a great gatefold double sleeve.
