Description
This auction is for a very rare LP from P16.D4 released in Germany in 1984 entitled "DISTRUCT". This is an extremely limited experimental electronic record that was pressed in a one time quantity of 400 copies! Long OOP and difficult to find! This is an extreme collector's item for fans of outsider experimental music. The vinyl is in EX condition and looks new with center labels that have absolutely no signs of use or wear present. The Vinyl is fresh and glossy. Jacket only has some minor detriments being some wear on the corners and a very small portion of discoloration on the bottom right of the front of the jacket which is barely visible. Rated at VG+ because of these detriments. Comes with original insert in fantastic/excellent shape!
The insert gives some background on the idea of this record:
"The idea for DISTRUCT ( DISTANT STRUCTURES ) was born in early '82, when Harry c. Poole of Smegma fame - in reply to the invitation for Selektion's Masse Mesch - compilation - offered to send basic tracks to be completed by P16.D4. To quote Harry: "A complete tape made thousands of miles apart."
As it is, Harry never sent his tape, but P16.D4 began to organize the DISTRUCT-project at the end of 82. Material was submitted by the groups/artists named below and was used - together with some P16.D4-material - to compose this record's tracks from December '82 to October '84. "

- SS Still Sealed
- M Mint - Perfect in all ways.
- M- Mint Minus - Near perfect, most likely and unplayed record
- NM- Near Mint Minus - Extremely well cared for record. Probably a record that's been around for some years but extremely well looked after, but still not quite new enough to call Mint.
- VG++ Very Good Plus - As close to NM as it comes.
- VG+ Very Good Plus - Very close to like new with only superficial signs of use that do not affect playability. Only records stored and used with care will grade out to VG+.
- VG Very Good - A used, reasonable copy that plays. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of some light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still nice and playable.
- VG- Very Good Minus - A record with significant wear and marks. Records graded VG-usually have some noticeable surface noise.
- G+ Good Plus. 'Good' means pretty beat up. From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about extremely beat up records.
