WONDERFULLY OBSCURE American five piece heavy psych band with solid hard-prog moves and wailing guitar work from wunderkind Glenn Schwartz. Nice punchy horn support in the Blood Swaet And Tears groove turning what could have been a bog standard psych rock band into something very special indeed. Some great tracks here including the crushing 'Wade In Water', a pounding monster with ripping lead guitar and brilliant arrangement underpining a brutal riff. Elsewhere its just as full-on with 'Cry, Cry, Cry', 'Long Handled Shovel' and the brilliantly titled 'Motor City's Burning' , all tracks displaying marvellous instrumental interplay and a sense of adventure that these sort of late sixties American bands often lack.

Highly recommended if you've never heard - and the likely hood is you won't have - and a great introduction to guitarist Glenn Schwartz before he was indoctrinated in a bizarre religious cult.

Vinyl: Good condition. No spindle marks but has obviously been played displaying scuffs and other signs of handling - displays that strange finishing effect that most US pressings have from this period. Grades as a respectable Ex

Cover: Again, signs of use. Issued in a beautifully designed gatefold cover. Sharp corners (lightly rubbed), one minor ding, no bends, light ring wear, one split seams on top of rear panel and no creases. Spine is stiff, square and uncrushed if a little worn. Tiny drill hole bottom right. Grades as Vg+
