Machined First UK press matrices: the earliest possible issue and according to the mother stampers this copy is one of the very first issued in the first few days. This is an EX/EX+ condition copy which has only been played lightly. If you need this album, this will satisfy most prog collectors.
The paladins, sometimes known as the Twelve Peers, were the foremost warriors of Charlemagne's court, according to the literary cycle known as the Matter of France. They first appear in the early chansons de geste such as The Song of Roland, where they represent Christian valor against the Saracen hordes inside Europe.
Initially, the band's influences were jazz, Latin, soul, blues, Cuban, the dual keyboards creating a unique sound. They list their early fans as including Jon ANDERSON (YES). After building a credible live reputation, the band signed for Gerry Bron's Bronze label, and recorded their first album "live" in the studio. The album failed to make much of an impression because of a lack of promotion and consequently is now rare and very collectable in vinyl format.

Gatefold Sleeve: EX. The best copy you will ever find of this sleeve. Matt and slightly textured and printed with silver letters in relief. Most of these would suffer from sticker tears, this copy is perfect without any tear or blemish. Only light edge storage wear. The spine is 100% legible. The best copy I have ever come across of this album.
Vinyl: EX+. Both surfaces retain their original deep, glossy sheen. A SUPERB VINYL COPY WHICH WILL PROVE HARD TO BETTER!!! Indeed, it has only been lightly played! The whole LP sounds absolutely stunning and plays to an extremely high standard with superb clarity, no groove-wear and no distortion and is very strictly graded a strong EX++ for audio - great copy!! I have played this on my very revealing setup with a Linn Sondek cartridge. Very light paper removal traces under a strong light only. NO hairlines or marks. Of course, NO skips, NO jumps, NO ticks, No crackle..
