Description
This month we have four amazing and impossibly rare EPs from late 60s Pakistan. I am one of the very first dealers to go and dig in Pakistan way back in early 2000's and even I could not find two of these as clean as these before. All are an invaluable part of the very obscure history of Pakistani rock. When I was conversing with people into (the surprisingly very fruitful and good) scene of Pakistani rock of late 90s and 2000's in Pakistan, even those musicians and fans have never heard of these bands or discs.
OK.. the other three Pakistani discs are absolutely very interesting and good titles, no question about that.. but musically and historically this is an amazing piece! Such a record has not even been released in India.
As Pakistan was a piece of northern India, their musical heritage is common in the school of music called "Hindusthani" which is north Indian folk and classical. This band did a very brave thing and attempted in putting down these rock tunes in ragas! As said, not even Indian bands of late 60s or 70s have not done this. I think it's the only disc in the world that collects four different ragas and interprets them in psychedelic style! Absolutely amazing.
Cover is EX, almost mintish clean. Disc also has super clean and healthy surface and grooves. No scratches absolutely but there are some very thin sleeve hairlines. A very clean and nice VG. Plays very well as you can hear below.
Take my advice, this really is not sale talk. Try to get this disc; if you want only one record from late 60s Pakistani rock, this is it!
