PAPER BUBBLE

Scenery

Vinyl LP issued in the UK as Deram SML1059 in 1970

Condition of the record is Near Mint
The cover is Near Mint

[I never use a 'Mint' grading unless the item is new, unplayed or sealed]

Excellent breezy summery progressive folk album with splendid Phil Dennys arrangements and some subtle psych touches.  Produced by Dave Cousins & Tony Hooper of The Strawbs.  First issue with the deep purple and gold artwork.

The band was from Shrewsbury and comprised:

Terry Brake  vocals, guitars
Brian Crane  vocals, guitars
Neil Mitchell  electric bass

The recording was augmented with uncredited sessionmen including Rick Wakeman, Dave Cousins and Richard Hudson.

Disc looks clean and plays M-.  Labels are spotlessly clean with no spindle marks.

The half-laminated cover has spine creasing and slight ring wear and scuffing on the front laminated side.  No fading, no marks.  The non-laminated back cover is clean and not yellowed.  The cover has been stored in a protective PVC jacket for at least two decades.

A well-loved copy which has only ever been played on one of two audiophile reference turntables in a non-smoking house.
