MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original RCA Victor Records very first High Fidelity “New Ortophonic” Mono press released by RCA Victor Records in El Salvador in 1972, made and distributed by Discos Centroamericanos S.A. “DICESA” (DICESA Records), catalog number ELL-0001, with hand etched matrix numbers LB-667 M in Side 1 and LB-668 AudioMotri in Side 2, with traditional orange/black RCA Victor Records labels and white “RCA Victor”. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER GREAT FIND from Latin America!!!

“EL XUC” is a rhythm and music genre originally created in 1942 by Paquito Palaviccini in El Salvador, based on the Salvadorian Folk music and it also became a typical Salvadorian dance (created in 1958). The same year some Xuc songs included in this album, originally released in 1962, were released. The year of pressing of this album isn’t clear, the design of RCA Victor Records labels probes this album was released early ‘70’s and it’s confirmed with the red sticker in back cover, announcing “1972 – Year Of The Salvadorian Artist”. In cover all text is written in Spanish only, with a brief review about Paquito Plaviccini and the success of Xux music. In labels all the text is also written in Spanish only, with the tracklist without additional information. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE REISSUE of this legendary LP by Salvadorian musician Paquito Palaviccini, a record almost never seen and A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Paquito Palaviccini, Orquesta Internacional Polío and Salvadorian/Latin American Folk music!!!

The solid cover made of thick cardboard it’s in EX or EX+ condition for both sides, clean, complete, no marks or names written, no ring marks, no blemishes, only general wear at the edges, more evident in the corners, no seam splits, it still keeps the original shrink wrap but it’s already partially ripped. The record is in strong NM- or NM condition, glossy and clean, with only very minimal scuffs, which of course don’t affect play at all. Labels are in great NM or NM+ condition both sides, absolutely clear and clean, with no marks or writings, not even spindle hole wear. The sound is in great EX or even EX+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, with a very soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with minimal hiss in some parts and occasional and barely audible soft crackles here and there, which don’t cause any distraction form the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great and historical record for El Salvador, not the original press, but it’s still a MEGARARE REISSUE, and it keeps a clean cover and a record with nice glossy look, almost immaculate labels and great sound quality after about 48 years, which won’t disappoint anyone and will satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Salvadorian press!!! And keep in mind the great condition and that it’s a complete copy, with the original shrink wrap and the original DICESA plastic inner sleeve!!! WOW!!! We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending on thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.
