1971 test pressing
By the summer of 1971, the Partridge Family were not only a hit show on television, they were also a hit singing and recording act, with two top ten records to their credit. This was destined to be their third.
This test pressing of “I’ll Meet You Halfway” was sent out to some select insiders in radio to get it some advance airplay at the same time the song showed up on the TV series. It’s from the Wes Farrell Organization, the group of producer / songwriter and publisher that was responsible for the groups destiny.
This advance has the same song on both sides, but a label only on one face.
