Vinyl:  Sealed!  This is the Original 2011 Pasadena Records 1ST Pressing! This interesting ensemble has evolved since 1969 into a Swing Fetishists Dream band!  They only do Early Swing (1920s-1930s) and have created a Cult status for themselves in places like Germany where this record was pressed, in a Limited Quantity of 1000! This is number 327/1000.  It's Super Rare and is SEALED! It's an Anniversary Release:  25 years of their own imprint, Pasadena Records and 40 years of The Pasadena Roof Orchestra...their band name is an homage to the old phenom of hotels having "Roof Orchestras" for entertainment on their roof gardens...This is 1920s Swing and Hot Dance music!

Cover: Sealed! (see photos; part of the seal has split at the opening of the record, but it has never been opened)  Gatefold.  Nice high gloss on cover. Front and back of cover artwork and text are rich, clear and bright. Seams and spine are solid and clean, essentially flawless.  No writing.  Spine print is crystal clear.  No bumps nor creases.  The record appears straight; when I look down with one eye down all 4 edges there's no big, ominous bow to it that would suggest that it's warped.  
In addition to the record, you receive a cache of Promotional materials specific to the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, specifically promoting this record.  There are three stickers, two postcards, a promotional flyer for another recording, "Licensed To Swing", with a Vargas-style girl on it, and a 16 page bio/info booklet on the PRO, including a history, loads of photos and some of their famous supporters, like Brian Ferry, Robbie Williams and HRH Queen Elizabeth II !!!! All of the materials are in Like New condition!
I will gladly accept the return of Sealed records as long as they have not been opened (i.e. as long as they are still in the condition I sent them in).  Every record has a "fingerprint" of imperfections in the seal and/or the cover and I separately photograph and keep these details to prevent fraudulently returned items...yep, there are a few rotten apples out there!)  I will not accept a previously sealed record that has been opened, even if the complaint is that the record is warped.  This is why I look down the edge of all 4 sides of the record, to assess for potential bowing.  Look for that in the description of the covers of all my Sealed items. Thanks!  By the way, I've never (knock on wood!) had a buyer complain that they received a warped Sealed record.  :)
Goldmine Standards.   

First or early pressings nearly always have more immediacy, presence and dynamics. The sound staging is wider.  Subtle instrument nuances are better placed with more spacious textures. Balances are firmer in the bottom end with a far-tighter bass. Upper-mid ranges shine without harshness, and the overall depth is more immersive.  Inner details are  clearer.  

 On first and early pressings, the music tends to sound more ‘alive’ and vibrant.  The physics of sound energy is hard to clarify and write about from a listening perspective, but the best we can describe it is to say that you can 'hear' what the mixing and mastering engineers wanted you to hear when they first recorded the music.     

The Pasadena Roof Orchestra (PRO) is a contemporary band from England that specialises in the jazz and swing genres of music of the 1920s and 1930s, although their full repertoire is considerably wider.[1] The orchestra has existed in its current form since 1969, although the line-up has frequently changed. It has achieved success outside of the United Kingdom, most notably in Germany.

The Pasadena Roof Orchestra was so named in November 1969 by John Arthy, a baker who played the double bass and sousaphone,[1] and who had taken over the Creole Dance Orchestra (first formed in 1965) in which he played bass and sousaphone, from Chris Macdonald, its founder. Arthy purchased a cache of original musical arrangements dating from the 1920s stored in the attic of a lady in Manchester, and the strength of this find reinvigorated the flagging fortunes of the earlier band. The new name of the band was inspired by Harry Warren's "Home in Pasadena". There had been a strong revival movement for music of the 1920s in the late 1950s and early 1960s (known as the Trad movement – bands included The Temperance Seven); however, Arthy continued to move this band in a different direction to most of the revivalists, away from humour and towards more serious, dedicated renditions of the music.[1]

The orchestra's first vocalist was John "Pazz" Parry, an old friend of Arthy's (the two had both been members of the Creole Dance Orchestra from 1965). With the injection of the new arrangements, Arthy as Bandleader, also performing on the double bass and sousaphone, the PRO soon grew in popularity.

The orchestra became professional in 1975. Their first LP for Transatlantic was recorded in August 1974 and released in December of that year, premiering at the Midem music fair in Cannes in 1975. The orchestra followed this by touring West Germany (where the revival movement was incredibly popular) in the Autumn of that year.

The orchestra toured the United States in 1993 and 2001 (their 25th Anniversary album cover featured a photo of the band in front of the Ambassador Theatre in Pasadena, California).

They have worked with musical luminaries such as Robbie Williams (in 2005) and Bryan Ferry (in 2000).

Although John Arthy retired in 1997, the band continues to tour extensively and record with bandleader and singer Duncan Galloway. In 2009, the orchestra toured Great Britain and Germany.
