Celebrate the return of a cult classic with the 30th Anniversary Edition of Original Soundtracks 1, the experimental album from Passengers—a creative collaboration between U2 and Brian Eno. Released exclusively for Record Store Day 2025, this limited edition 2LP features remastered audio and is pressed on eco-friendly recycled black vinyl, with only 3,500 copies produced worldwide.
Originally released in 1995, Original Soundtracks 1 explores ambient and alternative soundscapes inspired by imaginary films. Highlights include the hauntingly beautiful Miss Sarajevo featuring Luciano Pavarotti, and deep cuts co-produced with Howie B and featuring Japanese vocalist Holi.
PASSENGERS: Original Soundtracks 1 hails from 2025 and is a SEALED 30th Anniversary limited edition 180 Gram 2LP issued for Record Store Day. ‘Original Soundtracks 1’, the studio album by Brian Eno and U2, was released in November 1995 under the artist pseudonym Passengers.
The experimental recording process resulted in a collection of 15 songs, written mostly for imaginary films – hence the album title - with the exception of Ghost in the Shell, Beyond the Clouds and the hit single Miss Sarajevo, featuring Luciano Pavarotti. Other highlights include guest appearances from musician and producer Howie B and Japanese artist Holi, as well as the bonus track Bottoms (Watashitachi No Ookina Yume) which previously featured on the original Japanese version of the album.
This special 30th anniversary edition, pressed on recycled black vinyl, is now fully remastered for the first time.
