Very rare belgian electronic album with use of electronic tape, synthesizers, but also oriental instruments like tibetan bowls and tabla. Dedicated to Henri Pousseur.
Some info on the release: SCARCE original pressing vinyl on the legendary belgian Igloo label, that released the records of Henri Chopin, Jean-Paul Ganty, Arthur Petronio, Logos Duo and Jacques Lizene, Leo Kupper, Henry Krutzen, Andre Stordeur, Michel Butor, Fred Van Hove and Godfried-Willem Raes, Jacques Bekaert, Groupe D'Expression Sonore de Tournai and Garrett List, etc. Very hard to find, as you might know all vinyl pressings of Igloo were limited runs of 500 copies, which make them very hard to get and highly collectable.
Duocto dedicated to Henri Pousseur. Tape for Duocto realized in 1981 at the Studio de Musique Electronique du Centre de Recherches et de Formation Musicale de Wallonie.
Lenfant made mainly researches in the field of electronics & electroacoustics. Close to Pierre Boulez, György Kurtág, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Ligeti and Mauricio Kagel, Bernd Alois Zimmermann, John Cage, Toru Takemitsu and Iannis Xenakis he participated in the Groupe of the Musique Experimentale de Bourges and of the composers at the IRCAM, Paris, France. One of the most important belgian composers with Jean-Louis Robert, Philippe Boesmans, Lucien Goethals, Louis de Meester. He has collaborated with the 2e2m ensemble. Lenfant also carried out research into electronic music in the CRFMW studio with Claude Ledoux.
Condition: Vinyl lies in excellent- condition, looks perfect with no spindle marks, but has a small stain on middle of side a: that produces a "swoosh" sound for some seconds in every turn of the record, while cover lies in mint condition, perfect from every aspect.
