NON CI SAI PROPRIO FARE / QUANDO CAMBIERAI ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by PATRIZIA BORGATTI produced by ILLER PATTACINI. Original Italian pressing on the RICORDI label (SRL 10-428), from 1966. Obscure and superb debut single by a finalist of the 1965 Castrocaro music festival. A record we have only ever seen once before. Released shortly after Patrizia gained experience from a tour with other young new singers on the scene like Bobby Solo etc. NON CI SAI PROPRIO FARE is a groovy psychedelic theme capturing the mod girl / freakbeat / garage soul sound of the period. Sexy, cute teen vocals / sunshine pop cum R&B doo-wop harmony chorus over infectious beat rhythms with psych hammond vamps and buzzing fuzz distortions. Great for DJs with a hint of northern soul in the mix too. Desirable item with the Italian Mods and soul boys who know it. The track is actually an alternative, Italian version of A Band Of Angels - Invitation written by Mike D'Abo of Manfred Mann fame. Booming production sound. Seldom comes up for sale. Very rare 45!!!
