I Never Talked To Bob Dylan
Swedish LP released on Stoned Records in 1977. Translucent vinyl.
This Swedish LP preserves an October 3, 1976, performance by Patti Smith at the Concerthouse in Stockholm, Sweden.
The colour cover and accurate annotations suggest the quality of what's inside: legitimate-release-quality sound doubtless coming from the soundboard, possibly as a radio broadcast.
Smith was on tour promoting her second album, Radio Ethiopia, so we get versions of the title track, "Ask the Angels," and "Ain't It Strange," plus "Redondo Beach," "Free Money," and "Land" from her first album, Horses. The covers include the Velvet Underground's "We're Gonna Have a Real Good Time Together" and "Pale Blue Eyes" (Smith, who usually introduced the latter by saying it had been written about Hank Williams, this time says, "Lou Reed writ [sic] this song for a Swedish broad"), both standard parts of the set, as well as a surprise: "Time Is on My Side."
The concert is unusually straightforward for a Smith show, with little in the way of improvisation and a high music-to-poetry quotient, and the freak-out on "Radio Ethiopia" is ameliorated somewhat by combining it with "Gloria." The amazing sound quality makes this a real find among Patti Smith boots.

We offer combined shipping on all LPs / 12" Vinyls: our shipping rates are listed above. HOWEVER shipping packages that weigh more than 2kg is VERY expensive. Therefore we can only offer combined shipping up to a maximum of SEVEN (7) LPs / 12" vinyls. Any extra purchases will be invoiced, packaged and shipped separately.
***Due to the physical logistics of how I can package orders, I will not combine box sets with other items, I will only package them individually***

PAYMENT
I would appreciate payment within seven days of the auction’s end. If you want to bid on more of my auctions ending a week later please inform me. I will wait and issue a combined invoice at the close of the second week’s auctions.
However, I am no longer willing to carry combined transactions beyond two weeks and in these cases would appreciate payment promptly after the close of the second week’s auctions.
I am sorry to have to introduce these measures – I always try to be patient and allow buyers to bid on extra auctions and / or delay payment. Unfortunately some buyers have been stretching out transactions to unacceptable lengths so I feel I have no option but to limit ‘carried over’ transactions to two weeks.
