Up for grabs is a really unique find!  This is an original 1978 pressing of a classic lp by the PATTI SMITH GROUP.  Nothing so special about this copy EXCEPT what was found inside the jacket!  This copy clearly belonged to a super super fan of PATTI SMITH.  This particular copy contains dozens of faded newspaper clippings in inside of it pertaining to PATTI SMITH in the year of this albums release (1978)!  There was also an envelope inside (pictured here -- **however, not included with sale because has this fan's name/address on it) with return address from Arista Records where this super fan clearly wrote to her and the office responded.  Inside this envelope were various photo-copied Patti Smith material (including a stapled two page black and white art/poetry of hers), 4 black and white prints of the same photo of Patti, a color photo of Patti this fan probably took off the tv plus other photo-copied and otherwise stuff pictured (everything you see except the envelope the stuff was in is included in this sale)! The big extras are an actual LENNY KAYE original guitar pick that I'm sure this fan got from an actual show (most likely 1978), an actual torn ticket stub from an actual show and what appears to be a ticket from a German ticket to another 1978 gig! This super fan definitely followed her wherever she went!   Not included with the sale of this lp are also many handwritten letters and poems, reviews of shows and musings by the fan himself -- all fascinating but a tad too personal to put up for sale.   I tried to accurately photograph everything included (didn't take pictures of all the newspaper clippings, but just took a picture of a pile of them).  In any case, if you have questions or want to see better pictures of items I had to put into a collage (only able to fit 12 photos on the listing) let me know!
The jacket and vinyl are in VG- to VG condition;  jacket has average seam/spine/corner wear/dings, scuffs and ringwear front/back of jacket.  Vinyl is VG;  minor scuffs -- pretty clean copy!  Fold-out insert is creased and has some stains.  Really this copy isn't anything special.  This is more about the related items found inside it!
A must for any fan of Patti Smith or the Patti Smith Group (although, doubtful anybody could be a bigger fan than this guy is or was)!
You won't see something as unique as this anytime soon, so bid on it before it's gone!
