Description

On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Patto called "Hold Your Fire" LP and is an ORIGINAL 1971 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press 'Spiral' Vertigo label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST VERTIGO'S EVER MADE - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND TODAY!!!!   NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION (WITH A BRILLIANT RECORD!) - AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  THE COVER HAS A FEW DETAILS TO MENTION (AS IS NORMAL FOR THIS COVER TYPE!) - BUT IT IS 100% SOLID, AND EACH FLAP OPENS PERFECTLY, AND EACH ONE HOLDS NICELY IN THE CORRECT POSITION!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1971 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS 'SPIRAL' VERTIGO LABEL, 1ST PRESS 1/1 MATRIX ENDINGS, 1ST PRESS VERTIGO INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS '3-FLAP' GATEFOLD 'FOLD-OUT' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL UK Vertigo 1st Pressing from 1971 and is in GREAT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is 6360 032 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Spiral' Vertigo Label (see picture) and is a UK 1971 Stereo 1st pressing (there were NO Monos)!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 MEGA light hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!!  It is great to find that the record plays almost as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some slight background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - though this is generally lost WAY behind ALL but the VERY quietest parts of the music ONLY - which still plays VERY well indeed!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  BRILLIANT RECORD!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press Vertigo Inner Sleeve which is in VERY decent order (NO rips, NO tears, CORRECT '0671' Date code, NO splits, NO writing, and only a few creases!)!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press '3-Flap' Gatefold 'Fold-Out' Cover is still VERY presentable indeed, with EVERYTHING working PERFECTLY!!!!  The cover has NO edge splits, only some very VERY minor evidence of 'touching in' to the VERY edges, NO ringwear, NO rubbing to the cover front, only very VERY slight rubbing to the cover back, only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), barely ANY creases AT ALL to the front 'flaps' (this is VERY rare - as most are heavily creased!), NO yellowing, some typical spinal wear (but NO splits - and flaps still hold PERFECTLY!), slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), a VERY small area of wear on the top flap (this is on the white part of the flap - so almost IMPOSSIBLE to notice!), and NO writing!!!!  ALL 3 'front flaps' work EXACTLY as they should - and are all FULLY joined to the spine!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  However on the inside of the cover the 1 previous owner has clearly done some restorative work (and clearly some time ago!)!!!!  Firstly the black inside of the flaps has been made 'blacker' - though luckily this has NOT affected the cover design OR the print, and is not easy to notice at first glance!!!!  And secondly to protect the front flaps (though they clearly have NEVER been detached!), he adhered a thin piece of black paper (this is very VERY thin indeed!) on the inside spine, to hold & protect the flaps PERFECTLY!!!!  And as this is on the black part of the inside spine - it is very VERY minor indeed!!!!  However this is hardly a big deal, is NOT glaringly obvious, it on the inside spine ONLY, and has helped protect the flaps VERY well indeed!!!!  Hence ALL three flaps open and work PERFECTLY!!!!  And the rest of the inside has NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, and NO writing!!!!  So despite the few details mentioned above - this cover is still VERY presentable indeed, still 100% solid & working, and with ALL 3 flaps working PERFECTLY and in the CORRECT positions!!!!  The cover must MEGA STRICTLY grade Good+ (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - and is still a very VERY decent cover indeed!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!

THIS LP is A PART OF MY COLLECTION !!! GOOD LUCK!!!
