Description
For auction is the PAUL BLEY QUARTET's "Solemn Meditation" GNP 31, MONO, DG, 1957.
SOUND: VG+ or better
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, terrific, clean, clear sound! Being very conservative, I rated it VG+ due to the slightest background noise on side 2.
VINYL: VG+ (probably better)
Visually, the vinyl looks great. No scratches. Just very light smudges or scuffs that don't affect playback. Again, being very conservative! On white GNP ("Gene Norman Presents") labels with deep grooves.
COVER: VG+
The cover is very nice. Top edge/left spine are solid with minor wear. Bottom edge is split the last 3 inches to the right. Corners a little softened. Front and back unmarked except for "Promo" stamp on back. Front and back pretty clean except for routine wear/aging.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
