On offer today is a Original 1965 UK issue of The Paul Butterfield Blues Bands Debut LP!
This is the original and very rare 1965 UK MONO 1st pressing (EKL 294) of the Buterfield Blues Bands debut LP on the impossible to find Gold/White Elektra label. Complete with original USA printed thick card sleeve! This was before Elektra handed their production and distribution duties to Polydor in late 66-early 67. Hence all true original uk 1st pressings of Elektra records before that time will come with USA printed sleeves and UK vinyl due to the fact it was much cheaper for them to print them up in America and send them to the UK rather! Only later issues have uk fully laminated sleeves. Impossible to find these days and well worth a look!
Sleeve Condition : Very Good (The USA printed thick card sleeve is in very good strong condition! No Splits, tears or rips! Slight wear to front and back (common with these sleeves) has old tape residue on rear (see photo) and slight aging to the back, still very presentable with no searious issues! Very nice example!
Record Condition : VG++ ( The heavy weight UK pressed vinyl is in very nice and clean condition! The mono sound is unbelievable! Does have a couple of very small light marks which can be only seen under strong light, The record itself sounds amasing and only the way true 1st pressing can sound! A wonderful record! - MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
- EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
- VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
- GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
- FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
- POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
- BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
