PAUL CHAMBERS SEXTET - "WHIMS OF CHAMBERS" - Rare  Original Bebop Jazz LP - U.S. Original 1957  MONO pressing on BLUE NOTE 1534  Recording by Rudy Van Gelder ..."RVG" etched in the dead wax both sides...Deep groove indentation both sides.."Ear" symbol found in dead wax both sides...beautiful clear powerful rich Mono sound fidelity. (see play testing below)


Labels show 47 West 63rd New York address (side One) and 767 Lexington Ave New York address (side Two)....this great Blue Note Original was part of the vintage jazz collection from the highly respected Kent Memorial Jazz Archive Library, U.S.  Please see photos of Kent Library official sticker on cover and official authentic Library stamp on labels.


CATALOGUE#: BLP-1534  Absolute 1957 original


VINYL:  NM- Hi gloss.  Thick inflexible original vinyl.  (side 1) One thin very light unfeelable hairline that did not affect play.  (side 2) two small and thin hairlines, unfeelable and did not affect play. 


COVER:  VG  Several neatly clear taped seam splits, no ringwear; 

                     Front cover:scuffs and discoloration marks left side towards bottom.  Back cover:some light age discoloration at                          top and two paper scrape marks towards bottom rt corner (please see all pics)


Rare Kent Jazz Archive Memorial Library sticker with its library bar code located in upper right hand corner.

SOUND TESTED:

Top Sound Fidelity. Plays great with bold, strong, clear, rich mono sound fidelity.  Plays with barely and surface noise.

M = Mint (like new, looks Unplayed!)  (Superior play) 

NM = Near Mint  (very clean, barely a mark)  (Plays Great!) 

VG++ = Excellent (some very light scuffs or hairlines) (Nice Play…barely any surface crackle)

VG+ = With a decent amount of scuffs and hairlines (with obvious surface noise)

VG = Very scratched (but plays much better than the appearance seems to be)


Cover Grading:  

NM = Cover shows no seam splits, no ringwear, barely any or no edge wear.

NM- = Same as NM but may have 1 or 2 small imperfections which are not significant

VG+ = Perhaps one neatly taped seam split or two, or some creases, or some light ringwear or a combination of these

VG =  Often strong signs of ringwear, or many neatly taped seam splits, or scrape/scuff marks that are easily noticeable , or stains or large creases or a combination of these
