PAUL JONES/MANFRED MANN, “CRUCIFIX IN A HORSESHOE” ORIGINAL AND RARE 1971 UK VERTIGO RECORD LABEL LP, Catalogue No, 6360 059.
Paul Jones was born in Portsmouth, Hampshire. As "P.P. Pond" he performed duets with Elmo Lewis (aka future founder member of the Rolling Stones, Brian Jones) at the Ealing Club, home of Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated, whose singers included Long John Baldry and Mick Jagger. He was asked by Keith Richards and Brian Jones to be the lead singer of a group they were forming, but he turned them down. He went on to be the vocalist and harmonica player of the successful 1960s group Manfred Mann. Paul Jones had several Top Ten hits with Manfred Mann before going solo in July 1966.
This rare LP is on the White & Black & White Vertigo Records Swirl Labels, with circled P date 1971.
The LP comes in it’s original Poly Lined Vertigo Records inner bags and is housed in it’s original Gatefold Picture sleeve.
The LP play’s through all tracks without faults.
The Vertigo Record Labels are in beautiful Mint Minus condition, immaculate, clean and undamaged record labels with clear and unfaded text, showing only a couple of play signs to the centre of each label.

Both sides of the immaculate vinyl LP are in Mint Minus condition, the LP is a beautiful example and at most shows just a couple of light surface hairlines, otherwise a stunning LP.
And is housed in it’s original gatefold Picture Sleeve, and is in Excellent Plus to Near Mint condition. The sleeve is free from handwriting, tearing and seam splits, and shows a small dig/dent mark on the front panel next to the word shoe. The inner gatefold centre, the reverse panel, edges and spine edge are undamaged.
