– Symphony No. 1 In D Major

Paul Kletzki (21 March 1900 - 5 March 1973) was a Polish conductor and composer. In the post-war years he was a renowned conductor, especially of Gustav Mahler. In 1954 he was appointed chief conductor of the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Between 1958 and 1961 he was principal conductor of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. From 1966 until 1970 he was the General Music Director of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
This is the original stereo pressing on His Master’s Voice (ASD 483) with the cream and gold stereo labels. Although at first glance the vinyl looks to be in great condition, it’s not perfect with a few very small marks which cause the some clicks and pops here and there, but it’s still a good listen, sounds great! It is really let down by the cover though, which has water damage, a fair amount of wear and staining mainly on the back. See photos and description below.

3rd Movement: Feierlich Und Gemessen, Ohne Zu Schleppen; 4th Movement: Stürmisch Bewegt.
The album is on HMV Records, ASD 483. Matrix side one: 2YVH 37-2 (stamped). Matrix side two: 2YVH 38-3 (stamped).

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)

Vinyl side 1: very good (has a few very small “dints” near the start of the side that cause the odd click/pop here and there, but nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, it still sounds great, plays with no jumps or sticks and minimal crackle, sticker on label).
Vinyl side 2: very good (has a few small marks that cause the odd click/pop here and there, but nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, it still sounds great, plays with no jumps or sticks and minimal crackle, sticker on label).
Cover (front laminated, flip-back): fair (has water damage, corner, edge and spine wear, a few light creases mainly arount the edges, staining/aging/small surface tears/marks on the back, a bit rippled mainly on front top edge, a bit rought looking!).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy on return of the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
