PAUL MCCARTNEY
WONDERFUL CHRISTMASTIME b/w RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED REGGAE
1979 JAPANESE IMPORT 7” VINYL SINGLE
Pulled recently from our SUPER-HUGE vinyl vault is this rare JAPANESE IMPORT 7" VINYL SINGLE released on the EMI/ODEON label thru TOSHIBA EMI JAPAN in 1979 (EPR-20644). It was recorded during the sessions for his solo album McCartney II (1980) and was released in November 1979 following Wings' final album Back to the Egg earlier that year. Both the a-side and b-side are NON LP tracks. Comes in original die-cut TOSHIBA EMI sleeve w/lyric insert (English/Japanese). What's UNIQUE & GREAT about this single, unlike most JAPANESE SINGLE RELEASES at that time, is that it comes in a proper heavy stock cardboard picture sleeve (not the usual Japanese paper cover art insert) - The green TOSHIBA EMI sleeve slides neatly into the heavy stock picture sleeve.
